The mornings are special to Him. When He first created Adam and Eve, He visited them on earth in the cool of the day:
Genesis 3
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid
themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

God hasn’t changed. He still visits man every morning. You will notice that the Bible doesn’t say the same thing about the
afternoons or evenings. The point here is not to make some religious rule out of the mornings but rather to encourage you to
not miss your appointment with God. The best analogy for this is like TV. A TV station will be available 24 hours a day and
you can watch it anytime you want. God is available to us at every hour. But a particular show on the TV station is available at
a certain time, if you miss it, you will have to wait to the next time to watch it, likewise, the mornings are when God visits
man, they are His special appointment with the earth. I will go ahead and give the Biblical evidence for this. Again notice that
there are no ‘afternoon’ or ‘evening’ parallels for the examples below. Again the goal here is to show that the ‘mornings’ are
an important time for God.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah in the morning. The angels arrived there at night, yet it was morning when the
destruction came:
Genesis 19
15 As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be
swept away in the punishment of the city.”

The Egyptians pursuing the Israelites were defeated in the morning:
Genesis 14
24 And in the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the
Egyptian forces into a panic,25 clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee
from before Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.” 26 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your
hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.” 27 So
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal course when the morning appeared. And as the
Egyptians fled into it, the Lord threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea.

When God came down to speak to the Israelites from Mt.Sinai, He did that in the morning:
Exodus 19
16 On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud
trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled.17 Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God,
and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain.

God chose to show His glory to Moses in the morning. If you read carefully Moses asked the question at some other time and
God set up a morning appointment to fulfil it:
Exodus 34
2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the
mountain. 3 No one shall come up with you, and let no one be seen throughout all the mountain. Let no flocks or herds graze
opposite that mountain.”

The Word says in Job that God visits man every morning:
Job 7
17 What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,
18 visit him every morning and test him every moment?

David recognized that joy from the Lord comes with the morning:
Psalm 30
5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime.[c] Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the
morning.

Isaiah recognized that God wakes us up every morning to teach us:
Isaiah 50
4 The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is
weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

In Lamentations, God says that His mercies are new every morning:
Lamentations 3
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Jesus spent time with God in the mornings. When He became a man, He knew what His Father’s custom was and made it a
point to meet Him:
Mark 1
35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he
prayed.

The greatest event in world history, the resurrection of Christ, happened in the morning:
Luke 24
22 Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, 23 and when they did
not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

David in Psalm 139 uses the phrase ‘wings of the morning’. There is some significance in this phrase. You use wings to fly and
flying is the fastest form of transportation known to man. What this means is that wherever you are in your walk with God …
if you decide to spend however much time you can afford meeting with Him in the morning when He comes to visit the earth,
it will be like an accelerator for your spiritual growth. Instead of walking, running or driving you will be flying from one place
to the next. I have personally experienced this and almost all the deepest revelations and teachings I have received from the
Lord came in the morning. My first encounter with the Father in the spirit also happened in the morning.

It is my hope and prayer that you won’t waste your mornings. The Lord will be visiting the earth every morning. When He
does will He find you ready to meet Him?
